CHARGES LAID AFTER PEDESTRIAN STRUCK

A pedestrian was sent to hospital after a close encounter with a car.


South Simcoe Police were called to a coffee shop in Bradford for a collision involving a pedestrian.


Police say the vehicle pulled away from the drive-thru at a high rate of speed and turned south in the parking lot striking the victim.


The cops say the car stopped immediately.


A 22-year-old Innisfil woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.


A 19 year old Cookstown man has been charged with dangerous driving.
