An 18 year old Bradford woman received a message on her computer screen, claiming to be from Microsoft, telling her she had a virus on her computer.

SHIPLEY SEEKS PC NOMINATION IN BARRIE-INNISFIL

The provincial election is a year and half away but the contenders are starting to line up.
Barrie City Councillor Doug Shipley has announced his intention to run for the Progressive Conservatives in the new riding of Barrie-Innisfil.
Shipley has been on Barrie Council since 2010.

SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE USE OF FORCE REPORT

A report says South Simcoe Police never fired a shot in anger last year.
The police service board was presented a use of force report.
Officers drew their handguns 10 times last year where they perceived a threat to the public or themselves.
No shot were fired.

Another donation for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Shoppers Drug Mart Alliston and Beeton cut a cheque for $2,241 to the hospital foundation from their Growing Women?s Health Campaign.
Over the years Shoppers has raised over $29,400 for Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

The Alliston Beer Store is on the move.
They are leaving their location on Church Street North for the FreshCo plaza on Young Street.
When FreshCo renovated during their changeover from Sobey's there was room left over in their now smaller space.
