DRIVER TELLS TALL TALE

A call to police regarding a vehicle driving erratically in a field Innisfil over the weekend has led to charges.
When South Simcoe Police located the vehicle the driver claimed to be following an injured dog that had been struck by a vehicle and that he was listening for coyotes to see if the dog had been caught by them.
A quick check by police revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant from Barrie Police fora charge of theft-over-$5000.
A 38 year old Mulmer man was arrested on the warrant and turned over to Barrie Police.
He was also cautioned for Trespassing.
