A call to police regarding a vehicle driving erratically in a field Innisfil over the weekend has led to charges.

When South Simcoe Police located the vehicle the driver claimed to be following an injured dog that had been struck by a vehicle and that he was listening for coyotes to see if the dog had been caught by them.

A quick check by police revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant from Barrie Police fora charge of theft-over-$5000.

A 38 year old Mulmer man was arrested on the warrant and turned over to Barrie Police.
