Simcoe County has unveiled a new transit system.

In 2017, as part of the County's Transit Implementation Plan, County Council approved a 5-year, $5 million plan to create a regional transit service.

The County says the new LINX transit service will connect communities across the region with the first route starting this August.

That first route will be between Penetanguishene and Barrie with stops in between.

Only one route is planned for South Simcoe, between Alliston and Bradford West Gwillimbury and that route won't start running until 2020/2021.
