Following the provinces announcement in February that Main Streets were going to receive money to undergo some type of revitalization, the money is on its way.

The $26 million fund is being split between over 400 municipalities in Ontario.

The town of Innisfil is getting $63,900 of that.

According Deputy Mayor Lynn Dollin the money can be used to revitalize the downtown in many ways.

Dollin says there are still a couple of questions surrounding the operation of the bike share program and if the program is suitable for the revitalization funding.

But once the kinks are ironed out and the money is in-hand, the bike share program should be operational by the middle of this summer.
