While the Conservatives won the provincial election in Ontario, the student vote went a different way

Student Vote Ontario 2018 saw over 280,000 students from across the province vote in a mock election using the real candidates and ridings as a guide.

They voted in a NDP majority government by the slimmest of margins

The NDP picked up 66 seats on just 32% of the poplar vote.

The PCs were second with 45 seats and 27% of the vote, the Liberal pulled in 11 seats and the Greens were elected in two.

Locally, the students elected Jim Wilson in Simcoe-Grey, Caroline Mulroney in York Simcoe but elected NDP Pekka Reinio in Barrie-Innisfil.

PC Andrea Khanjin was actually elected in that riding.
