NEW TEC WANTS PIECE OF POT SALES

With the potential for legalized marijuana hitting the shelves this summer, the province hoping to reaping the rewards of legal pot sales.
The federal government has agreed to give 75% of its marijuana tax revenue to the provinces and territories for two years, predicted to reach upwards of $700 million.
New Tecumseth Councillor Marc Biss says there is a third level of government impacted.
Councillor Biss wants to make sure that each municipality gets their fair share.
A letter was being sent from New Tec Council to Queen's Park seeking assurance this was the case.
