CHARGES LAID IN THREATS MADE TO BANTING MEMORIAL HS

Charges have been laid in an incident where police say threats were made against Banting Memorial High School


Nottawasaga OPP say during the early morning hours of April 3rd , they received indication of threats towards the Alliston High School.


Police say they worked closely with Banting Memorial administration throughout the investigation and arrested and charged the youth involved in making the threats.


The Nottawasaga OPP say they take all threats to public safety seriously and provide resources necessary to assess and respond to such threats.


They added they will continue to work closely with the elementary and secondary schools in the New Tecumseth, Essa and Adjala-Tosorontio Townships.


OPP says anyone who believes there is a threat to school safety should call 911 immediately.
