A sober driver runs from a RIDE Program.

South Simcoe Police has set up Innisfil Sunday evening when a vehicle approached the spot check and made an immediate u-turn.

The cops say the driver led them on a short pursuit before pulling over.

The driver hadn't been drinking but the car he was operating wasn't registered and he wasn't insured.

He was using the plates from a roommates car.

Now on top of driving an unregistered, uninsured car a 28 year old Innisfil man is facing a careless driving charge and one for failing to stop for police.

The car was impounded and he'll be back in court next month.
