Bradford West Gwillimbury is holding the first ever Pumpkin Fest.

The event goes Saturday (oct 14) from 11am to 3pm and will coincide with the opening of Henderson Memorial Park.

Bethany Kuboniwa is the Leisure Events & Marketing Coordinator with Bradford West Gwillimbury.

She called it a fun fall event for families.

There will be live entertainment, pumpkin carving and decorating, the Bradford Lions will have a BBQ fundraiser.

Since it is Fire Prevention Week, BWG Fire & Emergency Services will be on site giving proving some education and activities.

The event is free but you are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Bradford Food Bank.
