Renovations to the Museum on the Boyne have been completed.
The Alliston-based museum received funding from the Canadian Heritage Legacy fund to help out with the makeover.

The 9 session course will be held once a week and according to Constable Rich Williamson it will cover the in's and out's of what goes on during actual investigations.

A silver lining to a dark cloud for Canada's Women's Rugby team.
Canada suffered its first loss of the Women's Rugby World Cup in Dublin Thursday (aug 17).
Second-ranked New Zealand defeated the No. 3 Canadians 48-5 in the preliminary round.

DNA MAY HAVE CLEARED A COLD CASE

An arrest has been made in a cold case.
South Simcoe Police took a 24 year old Aurora man into custody and charged him in relation to an armed robbery that took place in November 2011.
They believe he held up the Country Style Donuts on Holland Street West in Bradford at gunpoint.

A new splashpad is in the works for Innisfil.
Council approved spending $1.8 million to buy a property next to the Innisfil IdeaLAB and Library in Alcona for the new park, that will include a water area.

The trail of a stolen credit card at a local store leads to more charges.
South Simcoe Police were investigating a series of thefts from cars in the Lefroy area and discovered that a credit card taken from one of the vehicles had been used to make purchases.

The LEGO Batman movie will make its way to the screen on Wednesday (aug 16) at dusk for the Fresh Air Flicks at Innisfil Beach Park.
